In the learning process, giving motivation to the students has a very influential role in their success throughout the educational process. This is due to the presence of internal and external incentives against the pupils. This impulse is often referred to as learning motivation. There is a learning motivation to support the development of the student’s learning ability into one of the dynamic aspects. Learning motivation is a state where there is an urge to complete something within the individual. This learning impulse can be done through a behavioral act. The relationship between student learning motivation and learning behavior is something that is related to each other. In terms of student behavioral change to realize a change can be done by implementing behavioristic learning theory.
In behavioristic theory or also known as behavioral learning theory, it is suggested that behavioural change largely determines the quality of learning of the student. According to Schunk, in 1986 this behaviorist theory viewed individuals as reactive beings that responded to their surroundings. Where it can be said that experience is the primary teacher in the change of behavior of an individual. The response given is the result of the stimulus given in the form of action or change in the behavior of the student.
During the course of learning, the behavior or behaviour of the student will be observed by the teacher as a form of assessment aspects to be met by the student. The behavior shown by the student is influenced by how the surrounding environment is mainly on the family environment of the student. If the student is in a positive environment then it will affect the behavior of the student himself. Because it’s based on a theory developed by Watson that states that conditions of individual behavior can be conditioned. Where it means that the behavior or behaviour of such a student depends on how the environment of the student. Whether the environment can have a positive or negative impact on the behavior of the student.
Thro the learning process there are several aspects that will be the criteria for the evaluation of a student. One is the behavioral assessment of how the student can behave both in the learning process and in the social context. The student is considered able to absorb the material given during the learning process through a test performed by the teacher or teacher. Through this test, the teacher will know how far the student can receive the material that has been given during learning process.
Behavioristic theory is a theory that sets together stimulus-response relationships where stimulus is the process of obtaining a response from the student. The incentive obtained to obtain a possible response can be achieved by giving a motivational boost to the student. Then the response from the student will be the result of the success or failure of the stimulus. By this it can be said that giving an educational boosting to the pupil is an important thing that can be done to maximize the learning outcomes of students. Students with high learning motivation will influence their behavior during the learning process. It is not possible for a student to have a healthy relationship with his or her neighbors, but it can also affect the relationship between the student and his/her social environment. However, it does not exclude the possibility that the student will have a less-maximum behavior either in the learning environment or in the social environment of the student. The stimulus obtained by the pupil to obtain the response received through the interaction experienced by that pupil. In order to minimize the consequences of the response that the student will give to the stimulus given, the teacher or educator needs to pay attention to what stimulus should and should not be given to each individual student.
